The Merle Miller Group Tile Project is located in Sugar Creek Township, south of Gomer, Ohio.  It involves the replacement of a large tile outlet system which was installed in the late 1800’s. It drains mainly agricultural land and crosses under U.S. Route 30 before it outlets into Pike Run.

A Viewing and Public Hearing were held on the project Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Miller farmstead.

The project was approved for the survey, which will be done once the crops are harvested.  Installation of the new tile, if approved, is expected to begin in the summer of 2006.  Courthouse records indicate approximately 920 acres of land drain through this tile system.
